Design is the space between intention and experience. We close that gap.

What we do

We work across hospitality and retail — from flagship brand environments to neighborhood spaces.

Every project receives the same level of craft, intention, and end-to-end thinking.

Practice snapshot

Founded in 2026, Paperspace operates in Seattle, WA. The studio is led by Gabriel Gomez, a licensed architect in Washington, who brings 15+ years of experience across hospitality, retail, and global brand environments. Every project is taken on personally — no handoffs, no account managers — just direct, considered design from concept through completion.

Sketching is a key part of our process and conveys the energy and possibilities of the project. At its inception, we think about materiality, lighting, and constructability.

Every project begins with intention. We study how people move, gather, and experience a space — then design backward from that truth.

Paperspace is the independent practice of Gabriel Gomez, RA, LEED AP — a licensed architect and experience designer based in Seattle, WA.

Gabe's work spans hospitality and retail. Before founding Paperspace, he spent 15+ years designing for Nordstrom, Starbucks, and Best Buy — leading design teams across a diverse portfolio of store formats and concepts while navigating some of the most demanding programs in the country.

He started Paperspace because he believes every project deserves that level of intention — regardless of scale.

"My process is end-to-end by design — from concept to construction, with nothing left to chance."
